Why Register My Player ID With Pokemon.com?

It is required for leagues to report what registered players have participated in the season.
This allows leagues to order the appropriate supplies for each season, but it will benefit you as well!

By Registering With Pokemon.com…

How to register if you are 13 or older:

  1. Go to Pokemon.com.
  2. In the top-left corner of the page, click “Join Now!”
  3. Enter the required information to create a Pokemon Trainer Club account. You will need to accurately enter your name, birth date, and e-mail address.
  4. After you’ve completed registration, Pokemon.com will send you an e-mail to confirm your e-mail address. Follow the directions in the e-mail.
  5. Return to Pokemon.com and log in.
  6. Click “My Profile” in the top-right corner.
  7. Click the “My Play! Pokemon” tab.
  8. Enter the Player ID and Pin from the Play! Pokemon card you’ve received.
  9. Congratulations! You’ve registered your Play! Pokemon account!

How to register if you are younger than 13:

You will need a parent present to help you!

  1. Go to Pokemon.com.
  2. First you are going to register the child’s account. In the top-left corner of the page, click “Join Now!”
  3. Enter the required information to create a Pokemon Trainer Club account. You will need to accurately enter your name, birth date, and parent’s e-mail address.
  4. The parent will receive an e-mail in their e-mail account requesting parental consent.
    Click “Continue with Consent Process.”
    If you do not do this within 48 hours of receiving the e-mail, the child will need to choose to resend this consent e-mail. If you do not give consent within 14 days, then the child’s account will be deleted.
  5. The e-mail will take the parent to Pokemon.com to create their own Trainer Club account. This parent account will be able to manage and control the child’s account.
  6. Enter the required information. You will need to accurately enter your name, birth date, and e-mail address.
  7. If the parent’s primary e-mail address is different than the one that the child entered, you will be sent an e-mail to the parent’s address that you entered when signing up. Follow the directions in the e-mail to activate the parent account.
  8. Return to Pokemon.com and log in with the parent account.
  9. You should be taken to the “Approve Child” page. Enter your child’s e-mail address.
    (The parent and child are allowed to use the same e-mail address if desired.)
  10. If the “Approve Child” page does not come up, click “My Profile” in the top-left corner, and select the “Family’s Accounts” tab. You can also use this tab if you need to approve another child. (This way you don’t have to create a new parent account every time you need to approve a child.)
  11. If the parent and child’s e-mail addresses are different, the child will receive an email to activate their account. Follow the directions in the e-mail.
  12. You are finally ready to use the Player ID cards you received!
    Return to Pokemon.com and select “Log In.”
    If you are registering the child, you will need to log into the child’s account.
    If you are registering the parent, you will need to log into the parent’s account.
  13. Click “My Profile” in the top-left corner.
  14. Click the “My Play! Pokemon” tab.
  15. Enter the Player ID and Pin from the Play! Pokemon card you’ve received.
  16. Congratulations! You’ve registered your Play! Pokemon account!
    (If you need to register another Play! Pokemon account for a parent or child, log out, then log back in with the other account. Click “My Profile,” then the “My Play! Pokemon” tab.)
